After 4 weeks Kick Gallery Director, Jake Hoerner, has completed the ‘Contemporary Culture: Art in New York’ study tour. Having achieved that milestone, Jake has now switched focus to establish connections with New York galleries with the aim of organizing a number of exhibitions of Kick Artists in New York in 2009/10.
Kick Gallery Director to Study in New York for 10 weeks (Posted 01.06.08)
From June 15 - September 1 Jake Hoerner, Kick Gallery’s Director, will travel to New York to study alongside 14 other students from Melbourne University with Associate Professor Charles Green. The study tour is an elective subject that is offered every 2 years as a part of the Masters of Art Curatorship and Masters of Arts Management courses at Melbourne University. Having commenced study for his Masters in 2004 this subject and research for a final thesis paper will be the last two subjects that Jake is required to complete to attain a Masters of Arts Management degree.
